Legend.trade fees: platform and network costs
All fee information is published here in full, before any registration step. Nothing on this page is hidden behind a sign-up.
Short answer
Trading through Legend costs two things at minimum: the Hyperliquid network fee charged by the underlying exchange, and Legend's own platform fee, documented at 0.05% for perpetuals and 0.25% for spot. Copy trading can add a profit share of up to 20%. Referral cashback returns 10% of the platform fee on eligible losing trades.

Why does a Legend trade have more than one fee?
Two separate businesses are involved in every trade. Hyperliquid runs the exchange: liquidity, order matching, and on-chain settlement, and it charges network fees for that. Legend runs the interface, the social layer, and the competitive features on top, and charges its own platform fee — sometimes described as a builder fee — for that. Neither absorbs the other's cost.
Worked examples
The figures below cover the Legend platform fee only. Network fees, slippage, and funding are additional and vary with market conditions.
| Notional | Perpetuals fee | Perpetuals cashback if losing | Spot fee | Spot cashback if losing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| $1,000 | $0.50 | $0.05 | $2.50 | $0.25 |
| $10,000 | $5.00 | $0.50 | $25.00 | $2.50 |
| $100,000 | $50.00 | $5.00 | $250.00 | $25.00 |
| $1,000,000 | $500.00 | $50.00 | $2,500.00 | $250.00 |
How does referral cashback change the effective rate?
On perpetuals, cashback of 10% on the platform fee turns an 0.05% platform fee into an effective 0.045% on eligible losing trades. Network fees are unchanged, and winning trades are unaffected.
What is not a fee but still costs money?
- Slippage between your expected price and your executed price.
- Funding payments on perpetual positions held across funding intervals.
- The spread you pay when taking liquidity from the book.
- Liquidation — not a fee, but by a wide margin the largest realistic cost of leveraged trading.

Fee FAQ
What is Legend's platform fee?
Legend documents a platform fee of 0.05% for perpetual trades and 0.25% for spot trades, charged in addition to the underlying Hyperliquid network fees.
Are Hyperliquid fees included in Legend's fee?
No. Hyperliquid network fees are charged by the underlying exchange and are separate from Legend's platform fee. Your total cost is the sum of both.
Does referral cashback reduce the fee I pay at execution?
No. The fee is charged normally. Referral cashback accrues afterwards on the Legend platform-fee portion of eligible losing trades and is claimed in the Rewards section of your Legend profile.
Is there a fee for copy trading?
Legend documents that some copied traders can charge a profit share, up to a maximum of 20%, displayed before you confirm a copy. That is separate from Legend's platform fee.
Can these rates change?
Yes. Every figure on this page is a documented rate with a verification date. Legend can change its fees, and Hyperliquid can change network fees.
