Before you trade: a printable checklist
Print it, keep it next to the screen, and work through it before every leveraged position. Nothing here is complicated — which is exactly why it gets skipped.
Short answer
Run five checks before every trade: costs known, liquidation price known, size set by maximum loss, exit entered in advance, and emotional state clear. If any one of them fails, do not open the position.

Before you fund the account
- I opened the platform from a bookmark or a domain I typed myself.
- I have read the full fee structure, including network fees.
- I confirmed my region and eligibility in the platform's own terms.
- I am funding only money whose total loss would not change my life.
- I am using a wallet that holds nothing I cannot afford to expose.
- Nobody has asked me for a seed phrase, and nobody ever will.
Before you open the position
- I know the platform fee that applies: 0.05% perpetuals, 0.25% spot, plus network fees.
- I know my liquidation price and I have said it out loud.
- The distance to liquidation survives a normal volatile day in this market.
- My position size is set by my maximum loss, not by available leverage.
- I know where I exit if I am wrong, and it is entered, not remembered.
- I know where I take profit if I am right.
- I have checked funding rates if I intend to hold this position.
- I have checked order-book depth at my intended size.
Emotional state check
- I am not trying to win back a loss.
- I am not trading because of something I saw on a feed or a leaderboard.
- I am not on a deadline created by a competition or a match.
- I am not tired, angry, drunk, or in a hurry.
- I would place this same trade if nobody could see it.
If you are copy trading
- I have looked at the trader's drawdown, not only their return.
- I know the profit share I will pay, and it was shown before I confirmed.
- My allocation is within the documented limits and within my loss budget.
- I accept that stopping the copy can close positions at market.
- I understand copy trading is documented as alpha software.
After the trade
- I logged the reason for entry and the reason for exit.
- I recorded the total fee cost, not just the price move.
- I checked whether I followed my own rules, regardless of the result.
- I claimed any accrued cashback from the Rewards section.
- I stopped for the day if I hit my maximum daily loss.
