What is Legend and how does it fit with Hyperliquid?

Legend is not an exchange in its own right. Hyperliquid provides the exchange functions — liquidity, order matching, and on-chain settlement — and Legend provides the interface and the social layer that sits over them. When you trade through Legend, the trade settles on Hyperliquid and you pay both parties.

Web and mobile availability

Legend is available as a web app and a mobile app sharing one account. In practice the web app is the better environment for analysis and precise order entry, and the mobile app is better for monitoring and for the social features. Our mobile versus web guide covers the trade-offs.

The social feed, profiles, and clans

Legend makes trading visible. Profiles show activity, a feed surfaces what others are doing, and clans group traders into collective competition. This is the feature set that most distinguishes Legend from a conventional trading terminal.

Rankings, ELO and the Arena

The Arena runs head-to-head matches over a defined period, with results feeding an ELO rating. Some formats use practice balances and others involve a real wager, so read the terms of a match before entering. Competitive time pressure is a genuine behavioural risk for leveraged traders. See our Arena page.

Copy trading

Legend documents copy trading as alpha. It mirrors another trader's position changes into a dedicated copy wallet, proportionally sized, with allocations documented between $50 and $10,000 per trader. Some copied traders charge a profit share, up to a documented 20%, shown before you confirm. Very small proportional orders may be skipped, low-liquidity assets may be restricted, and stopping a copy can close mirrored positions.

Funding and withdrawals

Funding and withdrawals are handled by Legend and its providers, and settlement happens on the underlying chain. This website has no role in that process and never touches funds. Check Legend's current documentation for supported routes, limits, and any associated network costs before depositing.

Fees

The documented platform fee is 0.05% on perpetuals and 0.25% on spot, on top of Hyperliquid network fees. The spot rate is the number that deserves the most scrutiny — it is five times the perpetual rate. Our fees page works through the arithmetic with a calculator.

Referral cashback

Referred accounts have a documented benefit of 10% cashback on Legend platform fees from losing trades. It accrues automatically and is claimed in the Rewards section of the Legend profile. It is not a lifetime guarantee and it does not offset trading losses.

Advantages and limitations

Possible advantages

  • Social and competitive features that plain exchange interfaces do not offer
  • Access through both web and mobile apps on the same account
  • Copy-trading functionality for following visible track records
  • Public profiles and rankings that make performance legible
  • Multiple market categories — perpetuals and spot — in one interface
  • Referral cashback on the platform-fee portion of eligible losing trades

Limitations and risks

  • An additional Legend platform fee on top of Hyperliquid network fees
  • Spot trading at a documented 0.25% is expensive relative to the perpetual rate
  • High leverage magnifies losses and can trigger liquidation
  • Copy trading can reproduce another trader's losses
  • Copy trading is currently described as alpha software
  • Regional restrictions and eligibility are decided by Legend
  • Fees, referral terms, and product facts can change at any time

Who might find Legend useful?

  • Experienced derivatives traders who want Hyperliquid liquidity with a social layer.
  • Traders who research and follow public track records before allocating.
  • People who find competitive formats motivating and can keep sizing disciplined.

Who should avoid leveraged perpetual trading altogether?

  • Anyone trading money they need for living costs, debt, or savings goals.
  • Beginners attracted by high leverage without understanding liquidation.
  • Anyone chasing losses, or trading to climb a leaderboard.
  • Anyone who cannot verify that their jurisdiction is supported.

Review FAQ

Is Legend.trade legitimate?

Legend is a real platform with public documentation, a web app, and a mobile app, built on the Hyperliquid exchange. Legitimacy is not the same as safety: leveraged perpetual trading can lose money quickly regardless of the platform, and we do not vouch for any outcome.

What does Legend cost?

Legend documents a platform fee of 0.05% on perpetuals and 0.25% on spot, charged in addition to Hyperliquid network fees. Copy trading can add a profit share of up to 20% to the copied trader.

Who is Legend best suited to?

Experienced derivatives traders who want a social and competitive interface over Hyperliquid liquidity, and who understand leverage and liquidation. It is not suitable for anyone trading money they cannot afford to lose.

Does this review have a rating?

No. We do not publish star ratings or aggregate scores for a leveraged trading platform, because a single number cannot represent risk that depends entirely on how an individual uses the product.
