Short answer

Legend.trade is a social and competitive trading platform built on the Hyperliquid exchange. It offers perpetual and spot markets through web and mobile apps, and adds a public feed, ELO rankings, clans, Arena matches, spectating, and copy trading. Legend charges its own platform fee on top of Hyperliquid network fees.

What is Legend.trade?

Legend is a trading front end with a competitive social layer. Instead of presenting a bare order book, it presents trading as a visible, ranked activity: profiles, feeds, clans, head-to-head matches, and the ability to watch and copy other traders. The markets themselves — perpetuals and spot — are settled through Hyperliquid, which supplies liquidity, order matching, and on-chain settlement.

Verified factLegend's documented platform fee is 0.05% for perpetuals and 0.25% for spot, charged in addition to Hyperliquid network fees. Verified August 21, 2026.

How does trading on Legend work in practice?

  1. You open Legend on web or mobile and set up an account.
  2. You fund the account through the flows Legend and its providers support.
  3. You choose a market: a perpetual contract or a spot pair.
  4. You place an order; Hyperliquid matches and settles it.
  5. Legend applies its platform fee on top of the network fee.
  6. Referral cashback, if your account is attributed to a referral, accrues on the eligible platform-fee portion of losing trades and is claimed in Rewards.

What are the social and competitive features for?

The social layer serves two purposes. It makes track records visible, which is what makes copy trading meaningful, and it creates engagement loops — rankings, clans, matches — that keep traders active. Both are worth understanding honestly: visible leaderboards are useful for research, and they are also designed to encourage more trading, which generates more fees.

Editorial explanationIn our reading, the competitive layer is Legend's real differentiator. Whether it is a benefit depends entirely on whether competition makes you more disciplined or less. If leaderboards tempt you into oversized positions, the feature is working against you.

Who is Legend useful for, and who should avoid it?

  • Potentially useful for experienced derivatives traders who want a social interface over Hyperliquid liquidity.
  • Potentially useful for traders who want to study and follow public track records.
  • Not appropriate for anyone who cannot afford to lose the money they deposit.
  • Not appropriate for beginners using high leverage without understanding liquidation.
  • Not available everywhere — regional eligibility is decided by Legend.

What does it cost?

Every trade carries at least two costs: the Hyperliquid network fee and the Legend platform fee. Copy trading can add a profit share to the copied trader. Referral cashback can return part of the Legend platform fee on losing trades. Our fees guide works through the arithmetic with examples.
